Garleton Hills, in East Lothian, Scotland, are a conspicuous range of hills to the north of Haddington. They rise to 186m, at Skid Hill and include Bangly Hill, Barney Hill, Byres Hill, Craigy Hill, Pains Law, Phantassie Hill and Score Hill. The Hopetoun Monument - which can be seen for miles around - stands at the centre of the range. Further traces of human activity are embedded on the landscape: Iron Age hillforts, medieval castles and modern quarries, all hidden within the nooks and crannies of the hills. During 2020 Andy used these hills as a fixed point for a series of new works. Most of the new work is on paper, using acrylic and pencil. Drawings were also made in charocal.
